Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Bakti Cendekia: Journal of Community Service and Development undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the content.
1. Initial Screening
Upon submission, the editorial team will conduct an initial screening to ensure the manuscript meets the journal’s focus, formatting requirements, and plagiarism threshold (maximum 20% similarity).
2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to two independent reviewers. In the double-blind process, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to maintain objectivity.
3. Review Criteria
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:
-
Relevance to the journal’s scope
-
Originality and contribution to knowledge
-
Methodological rigor
-
Clarity of presentation
-
Community impact and practical relevance
-
Quality of references
4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers' comments, the editor may decide:
-
Accept without revision
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
-
Reject
Authors will receive feedback and are expected to revise their manuscript accordingly. Revised submissions may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers.
5. Final Decision
The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on the recommendations of reviewers and the editorial board.
6. Timeline
The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks depending on the availability of reviewers and responsiveness of authors.
